GETTING HERE:

If you are arriving from Nova Scotia via the ferry, please be advised that there is a road closure affecting the most efficient route to the property. Rather than being a 10 minute drive, the detour will take approximately 18 minutes. Here are the driving directions from the Wood Islands ferry:

Head north on Service Rd
550 m

Turn left onto Trans-Canada Hwy/PE-1 W
900 m

Slight right onto Wood Islands Rd/PE-315 N
1.6 km

Turn right onto Greys Rd/PE-201 E
8.9 km

Turn right onto Blues Rd
3.1 km

Turn left onto PE-4 N

Destination will be on the right

The property is just past Rossignol Winery and the High Bank municipal sign. The civic number 11003 is posted at the start of the driveway.

If you are arriving from Charlottetown, your GPS may or may not be aware of the road closure. Therefore, here is the best route to take:

Make your way to Route 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) eastbound.

Follow Route 1 East for approximately 26 km.

Just past the Orwell Corner sign, turn left onto Route 210 (Kinross Road) and continue for about 2 km.

Turn right onto Route 24 (Murray Harbour Road) and follow it south for approximately 23 km, passing through Kinross, Caledonia, and Dover toward Murray River.

As you enter Murray River, continue straight where Route 24 meets Route 4 (Norman’s Road).

Follow Norman’s Road south until you reach the water. Turn right on Shore Road and continue to 11003 Shore Road (on your left).

Approximate travel time: 50–55 minutes.

Please, no unregistered guests on the property.
Max occupancy 12 people.

We kindly ask that you take care when walking the property near the bank, and stay on the groomed paths as much as possible for your safety. The edge of the property is a very steep rugged cliff and there is no beach access. Please be especially mindful if you have young children with you.

Because of the close proximity to the ocean, flies and mosquitos are not as much of a bother as elsewhere on the island. However, there is a 20-30min period at dusk where you may notice an influx if you are outside, but they usually subside.

Just a reminder, we are in a rural area. The nearest service station and convenience store is in the village of Murray River, which is just under a 10 minute drive from the property. We are about 50 minutes from Charlottetown, and 25 minutes from Montague. There are two major grocery stores in Montague, as well as a few restaurants and a small waterfront.

A couple quick things:

• Remote controls for the blinds are located on the wall in the entry foyer, on the shelf in the kitchen, on the wall in the tv/family room, and at the top of the stairs. They are coded with a number that will reference a diagram that indicates which blinds each remote controls. All blinds in bedrooms are not motorized, they are manual. Same goes for office, dining room and loft.

• You may connect your music streaming service (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) to the speaker system via Airplay on your phone or device. There are 3 speaker zones: “Dining Room”(Dining and kitchen area), “Family Room” and “Bedroom” (Primary bedroom).

• Bedside lamps are touch activated

• It takes a little while for hot water to get to the faucet, especially in the kitchen. However, it will arrive!

• In the event of heavy rain, please bring the patio cushions, pink striped chairs, and umbrella inside.

• There is some lego in the loft space – please play with caution if you have especially young children with you.

• Please feel free to use any and all art supplies in the office – that's what they're there for!

• Any beverages in the fridge or provisions in the pantry are yours to use.

• We are sorry about the bunk bed ladders – they are hard on the feet to climb. We are trying to find a better solution.

• No wood burning fires are permitted on the property, but please enjoy the fire table on the patio

We (Sarah & Scott) are available when/if needed. We do not greet our guests - we respect your privacy. However, if you forgot something or have any questions about the property or surrounding area, please let us know. We are happy to help.

We truly hope you enjoy your stay on the island, and if you need assistance, please reach out to us.
